Japan Woodworking Machinery Association is going to hold “Japan Woodworking Machinery Fair with Wood Ecological Technology Fair 2015 (Mokkiten Japan/Wood EcoTec 2015)” from November 11th (Wed) to 14th (Sat), 2015 at Port Messe Nagoya.
With the theme of “Land of Wood, JAPAN / Show the Power of Tree, OMOTENASHI”, the Fair aims to be a significant show that various technologies and solutions in the wood working industry meet at one place.
To be specific, globally advanced technology of wood processing machinery including band saw mill, chipping machinery, grinding machinery, plywood manufacturing machinery, woodworking machinery, laminated wood manufacturing machinery, conveyor, dust chamber, coating equipment, dryer, incinerator, boiler, etc. as well as forestry machinery, ecological equipment, knives, application software, equipment, paint, metal and plastic processing machinery are all to be brought to this Fair. In addition, the Fair will run exhibitions by universities and research institutions and also seminars and symposiums simultaneously to serve as a comprehensive exhibition of wood industry and technology.
In Japan, The Forest and Forestry Revitalization Plan established by the Government in December 2009 targeted to increase wood self-sufficiency ratio of Japan to more than 50% by 2020. And this was carried over to the Fundamental Plan of Forest and Forestry of the revision made in January 2011. Promotion of fulfillment of multifunctional roles of forests as well as supply and utilization of forest products are much desired.
From now on, increase in usage of wooden material is expected because of legislation to promote wood use in public building, announcement of wooden structure fire resistance standard, preparation of CLT construction standard, promotion of earthquake-resistant performance of wooden housing, Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics Games, and so on.
The Fair proposes to have forestry industry, wood processing industry, and environment industry as pillars of a new national industry with demand of reusable resource of wooden material. Therefore, we would like to ask all the dedicated members to exhibit technologies and solutions that enable new resource supply based on the current situation of forestry resource in Japan.
